Von is amazing! She was so kind to me and my goth, out there style. I had her do her own free style on my nails and she did amazing! She was constantly checking to make sure I was happy with her idea and I really could not have had a better experience with her. I now travel 2.5 hours just to have her do my nails.

If you’re searching for a nail artist who is truly exceptional at her craft, look no further than Erika. She doesn’t just create gorgeous nails; she makes you feel like part of her family with her warm, easygoing demeanor. From start to finish, you’ll be impressed by her skill and her genuine love for what she does. Her passion shines through in every detail, and her friendly nature makes every visit feel like a relaxing catch-up with a dear friend. Highly recommend for both stunning nails and a truly special experience!

UPDATE: The salon reached out me and were extremely kind and understanding. They not only offered me a full refund but also a complete redo with another technician. I just left the salon and am so happy! Caroline took care of me today and she was so nice and also super talented. She actually cut my cuticles and her polish application is amazing. The pictures with a lighter pink polish are the redone nails. As you can see, a world of difference!
OLD REVIEW: The salon is super cute and has a great atmosphere! Unfortunately, the tech that I got today was not very good. Jasmine seemed like she did not want to be there. I kept trying to make conversation but she was not interested. In the description of the service I booked, gel mani, it says it includes cuticle work which was what I was most interested in. I got no cuticle work done at all. She also filed after she had put the top coat on which breaks the seal and makes the gel more prone to chipping. She didn’t use any acetone to clean up the gel on my cuticle, just her nail. She would dig her nail into the sides of my nails and wipe the gel off even though that left some gel residue on my skin. The salon and the receptionist were amazing but my service today was not worth it. 🙁

I see Erika and she is METICULOUS. I leave happy every single time. She goes above and beyond to make sure they are perfect and exactly what I want. I’ve been seeing her for almost a year and I’ve never been even slightly disappointed, and I’m super picky. She’s also incredibly kind and welcoming. She’s got me for life.

This place is truly amazing! The nail techs are talented, personable, and they always go above and beyond. My nail tech Briana was an absolute gem! She made my experience so comfortable and made sure I got exactly wanted. I loved having her input on my nails. I found my new nail tech and new home ☺️

Jimmy does my nails and Sarah does my hair. I always have great service and get exactly what I want. I wouldn’t go to another nail salon because my experience will not be the same.

Back in February I came in to get a color change and reshape. It was my first time going to Slain after a friend of mine who goes there hyped it up. I walked in and the guy at the front took me and sat me with Caroline and it was such a great experience and I loved my nails. After my first awesome experience I decided I’d go back and get design etc so I booked with Jasmine after speaking with the person who manages their instagram account. I booked with her because she was one of two techs who does dip and I always get dip because I have weak nail beds. I arrived to my appointment on time and didn’t get seated until 10 minutes after which wasn’t a big deal to me. What was a big deal was Jasmine did not seem to want to be there or want to talk. I showed her what I wanted and she asked what color and what shape. I told her “whatever you think is best we can do because I love your work, I’ve seen your insta and the nails you do are beautiful”. She was constantly checking her phone and eating while working on my nails. I don’t know but if I’m paying a service, I expect full undivided attention to the service or at least acknowledge that I’m there. Every small talk I said, she’d go silent and it felt like I was bugging her. The plastic hand holder hurt my wrist the ENTIRE time I was there. I didn’t feel comfortable what’s so ever.
At the end of the service, I asked her if I can use the restroom and set my things here and I’ll pick them up when I’m out the door. She said “umm I’ll charge you now and you can go to the restroom because my next customer is right there waiting” so now it felt like my service was rushed and I hated my nails and still do. It hasnt been a full month and they chipped off and two of my real nails broke which really upset me as it took MONTHS to grow them out and now I’m back to square one on regrowing them. I did however book an appointment with Caroline again and explained what happened with her and she apologized but, I ended up pushing back my nail appointment until I had the length again to do design with her instead.
Otherwise the vibes of Slain are immaculate and the guys up at the front are super helpful. I hope to be back in the near future!

the first two French are by Jasmine and the blue aura is by Caroline

Tbh I have been pondering this for over a month thinking if I want to post or not about my experience and I wish I went somewhere else. I was recommended that this place was the best and they had good techs and everything.
I even went on to ask if they could do specific nails that made me feel like a princess and looked like the ones I showed them and I feel like it wasn’t close to what I wanted. Not only on top of that I didn’t feel like I wasn’t special enough to be there maybe because I didn’t look like I had money or just in general how other girls looked so the type of treatment I got from my tech just solidified that. When I got there I did get there kind of early which is fine because I wanted to make sure I could beat the traffic and be in time for my appointment. Either way I walked in with my husband and
I waited my time patiently and finally got my tech she had called someone on her phone at least 3 times and everytime someone brought her food it seemed like she was more interested in both of those things instead of making sure I was welcomed and had good etiquette and tbh she didn’t really talk at first so it was awkward. And the reason I felt I wanted to say something now because I was a first customer and my experience with Slain did not really make me feel welcomed and the nails that were supposed to be good but no one really gloated on them made me feel worse like mine were not good enough like everyone else’s. I don’t want anything I just wanted to say how I felt. /: also this is what I wanted verses and what I got.
