I wanna preface this by saying that I usually don’t feel compelled to leave reviews for anything- good or bad. However, as I’m sitting here looking at the nails I got done at Number One Nails only 2 days ago I can’t help but feel an urge to leave an honest review of my experience. I wanna start off with the positives by saying the pedicure that I got was relaxing and my toes turned out fine, but things took a hard left turn after my pedicure unfortunately. My nails and toes were going to be done by 2 different techs initially, but as I was getting set up for my manicure the tech who was going to do my nails said to the tech who just did my pedicure “oh there’s my client, hey can you please do her(my) nails so that I can do my clients nails?” to which she begrudgingly agreed. I don’t mind if someone isn’t necessarily enthusiastic about doing something that they’ve been doing all day everyday. At the end of the day I understand that the person who is providing me service is just that- a person. I have no idea what her day was like before I came into the salon, so I tried to give her some grace. I could tell that she didn’t want to be doing my nails, and I was pretty uncomfortable but I sat through it anyway as I had been looking forward to getting my nails done. Looking at my nails now, and after reflecting I wish I had just walked out after my pedicure. I HATE how my nails turned out. I hate looking at them, and I hate that I paid $70 for my hands to look worse than they did BEFORE the manicure. The shape is awful and inconsistent, and they’re aging like milk. She also nicked my skin pretty badly on my pinkie, and in all my years of getting my nails done that’s the first time I’ve ever bled like that during a manicure. It’s the only time I’ve walked out of a salon not only dissatisfied, but also stressed out and in pain. She was visibly annoyed and stressed out as she was doing my nails- doing things like mumbling to herself, shaking her head, and sighing. Again I understand if she was having a stressful day, but I was having a stressful day too and that’s why I made the nail appointment. I ended up leaving more stressed, with ugly nails and with $70 less in my bank account. Honestly atp I just want my money and time back, and I want these nails off. I’m not sure if this reflects on the business as a whole, but I do wanna say that if your tech seems annoyed then that’s probably a good sign to get up and walk out.

Sigh. My experience obviously doesn't reflect on the whole salon, but I had a pretty bad one. I think it was the owner who was my technician, David i believe his name was. My nails turned out, not even decent. There was hair in the polish, smudges, the nails were uneven and not the shape I asked for, I'll attach the reference photo (it's the only one in which the nails look half decent). I wasn't expecting prefection, but this was not even close to good. During drilling, he hit the skin by my cuticle, and I stayed bleeding, although not a lot my fingers/ nails still hurt. This was the day before my prom, so it was pretty devastating to have this happen. I should've spoken up at the time to be fair, but as a nail technician, I'm sure he knew the quality was terrible. Overpriced, bad results.

I have been going here for 2 years. And it's the best place I have found. After no success at many nail salons. I was so excited to finnally find a place. Every tech is great at their job. And everyone is so friendly. I will never go anywhere else again!!

Excellent service. They offer Dip powder. I was also able to get my eyebrows waxed. They are open on Mondays.

It’s been four years of AMAZING service. They are called “ Number One Nails ? “ for a reason. The owners,staff, and clients are very welcoming and family oriented. The customer service is top tier.They specialize in SNS powder and this product has strengthened and grown out my nails so much. Their selection of SNS powder is also endless. Due to the building of new housing developments and the large amount of people who have moved in our area, they have become very busy so I do recommend making an appointment.

Number one nails truly is the best.
I was in need of a manicure for prom and was referred here by a friend. I called around 4pm looking to book an appointment for sns. Lucky for me they had an opening for 3pm the very next day. I was impressed with this aspect alone given I called less than 24 hours in advance of when I needed it done. I arrived and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and told to go ahead and choose colors for my manicure. Within 10 minutes I was seated and the process began. My nail tech did a phenomenal job, I showed her photos of what I was looking for and she gave me exactly that. She took time and care throughout each step of the process to make my nails even, precise and overall gorgeous. I’m beyond happy with the end result and the pricing was very reasonable. This was my first time ever having my nails done and it was great. I highly recommend Number One Nails to anyone in search of a good salon!

Went in for a basic manicure. The finished product was not great. The polish had bubbles in it and the color wasn't even, dark spots, lighter spots where you could still see my nail. Unfortunately I didn't have time for her to fix it so I had to repaint them when I got home. First and last time going there.

I have been going to number one nails for over 10 years now. I love my nails every time. They were the first nail place in Fuquay to use SNS and I Love it. Its healthier for your nails and it is just as strong as acrylics. The owners ( David&Leigh) are very nice people!!!
