HORRIBLE!!! Went in to get gel x and have my old set removed. JAY was the nail tech. I had my old set for about 4wks. However, this was not the case with these new nails. When he was finished applying the nail extension and everything they do before applying the nail color they felt a little fragile when I tapped down but I didn’t think much of it I just waited for him to finish. So after applying the gel color they felt a little harder so I went on paid and left. 2 DAYS later I start feeling my thumb and index nails begin to bend from the tip. Well it didn’t take long until I begin noticing these nails where almost warping. It’s like the tips where bending but they were not completely falling off just Awful for $70.00 plus a $15.00 tip, all within 2days of having them done. Eventually from bending some of them broke off. Spoke with the owner and she refused to return my money, and said I was probably putting my nails through some type of heat which was the reason they were doing this. (Almost seemed like she knows what their nails will do when exposed to certain things.)I explained I do no such thing just everyday light cooking/cleaning like every other human being but still refused. Save your TIME AND MONEY!!! They do not know what they are doing with gel x. My old set (different salon) was beautiful lasted longer and never gave me such problem.

This will ALWAYS be my favorite nail spot! I’m hooked on the gel x sets! My nails have never been this healthy before when getting my nails done. The Halloween ones did not disappoint? they lasted over a month with no breaks, no chips, no cracks, nothing. I’m very happy with this new set too I love all the options!

I used to really like this place, about seven to eight months ago I would come every three to four weeks, I took a break from getting my nails done and went back recently. I went back and I loved my nails but the only problem was the placing of the gel x nails wasn't close to my cuticle and it looked a bit grown out. I needed these nails to look good for the next week and a half at least. I went back the next day to see if they would be able to fix them. The lady that helped me stated 1. they cant place the nail all the way to my cuticle because the chrome would get on my fingers and 2. the technician was afraid of cutting me while drilling. Even while fixing my nails she stated that they have never placed gel x close to the cuticle before. I let her know that my before technician at Milano never had a problem with this. She "fixed" my nails by drilling them down placing one coat of paint and about three to four layers of chrome. You can see the paint was two different colors. First picture was the first time I went, color was pretty nail placement was a bit off. Second picture is when I went back the very next day to get it fixed. I drove to a different place in Katy the day after getting them fixed by Milano, just to get them completely removed and a new set, which is shown in the third photo. I used to love this place a ton, but I don't think I'll ever come back again.

Awesome place! It’s nice to know you go in with a pic and Jenifer knows what to do. It’s hard to find techs that know what they are doing. Relaxing environment! Stephanie did a great job on pedicure as well!

UPDATE 7/30/24 : I am changing my review to 5 stars. I was really upset about my nails however the owner and team were extremely nice and wanted to fix the issue and accommodate in anyway they could. With that being said I was offered a free gel x application which has been about two weeks almost and they are on super strong ! I’m in love with them . I am extremely happy with how they quickly reached out to me and ensured i left happy and that’s all I could ask for as a customer . Thank you Milano team ?

I thought it would be nice to show transparency. I had and issue but they quickly resolved it . Everyone isn’t perfect things happen but the fact they were so willing to fix the issue and make sure the customer is happy is important!

OLD REVIEW
Never returning! My nails alone was $130 and the next day my gems and flowers are falling off …. A week after coming my nails are popping off and my acrylic toe complete fell off didn’t bump it or anything just a smooth pop off. Never will I ever come back they are expensive but not good quality.

Now for the experience when i came in the shop top tier loved everything about it the staff was welcoming and nice the drinks are good and strong. But the quality just isn’t hitting at all .

Milano West U is a wonderful establishment. The front desk is kind and organized, special thanks to Maria for her friendly service. Anna, my nail tech, always provides quick and extremely neat service. My nails last 3 weeks plus and I have yet to get any chipping in between appointments. I highly recommend!
