Went in last minute as my usual nail salon was unable to take me for a fill on my acrylics. My tech started applying dip powder and when I asked if she could do acrylic instead, like I originally asked, she said no because it was “the same thing”. I have been getting my nails done for many years and I do acrylic instead of dip because I find that despite it looking the same at the end, acrylic lasts longer, and you can get acrylic nails filled for less than a full set of acrylics while dip manicures are completely reapplied and thus charged as a new manicure every time. I was then charged $56 and I tipped $12 on top of that. Acrylic fills are usually at least $10 less than that. Now, just 10 days later, 2 nails on my $68 manicure (that wasn’t even what I wanted) have chipped. I am extremely dissatisfied to have wasted so much money and time here. Would not go again!!

I already knew that Abbey’s Nails is great because I am friends with Abbey (the daughter of the owner and the name of the shop). Last time I got a pedicure and a full body wax and the people who took care of me were really helpful and nice! This time I decided to get both Mani and Pedi and I wanted to get Gel acrylics as well. I asked Tammy for Sailor Moon themed nails and showed her some pictures and the nails turned out AMAZING! I also got my brows done and an upper lip wax. To those who say their pricing is expensive, I highly disagree. I remembered paying a whopping 65 dollars for just plain blue gel acrylic nails without anything else. And I had to pay and extra 10 dollars for a matte coat! For my nails, toenails AND Eyebrow wax AND upper lip wax, I expected the total to be more than 150, but ended up only paying 102 for everything including the design on my nails and etc. I highly recommend going to Abbey’s Nails! You won’t regret it!

I’d been going here a few months and don’t think I’ll be returning. I got a french manicure last week and made a comment to my tech that majority of my nail edges weren’t covered. The tech clipped the exposed nail with a cuticle cutter and smoothed them down using a nail file. I woke up the next morning with three of my finger tips feeling sore where she had cut and within two days, nails had lifted and my thumb was throbbing. I went back to discuss my concerns with the owner but left with them looking worse. I had shown her all the exposed nail edges and raw skin from being clipped to short. The owner clipped two cuticle threads, drilled gel polish off one nail then reapplied a gel top coat to the same one nail. That’s it. I was extremely disappointed as these will be my “Christmas nails” but it’s been exactly one week and they look horrible. They were too close to my cuticle and very thick at the top. None of my edges are covered and the white tip is extremely thin. I wish I had the confidence to have spoken up more before paying at the first appointment. I will say, all the employees were very nice and the place is pretty clean but I was disappointed at how my last interaction went.
